I love this rice wish it was more easily available in stores here in US. Tried this rice brand a number of times. It's now our go to rice Easy to cook n doesn't clump Way better than all the Other brands I had been using which tasted like sawdust. Love the rise the kernels r big. And boy it smells so good.

Even though we eat more rice dishes than potato ones, only last year we tasted the long grain version, and we surely we're stunned. The smoothness and taste is stunning, so for a while we will recommend it to every rice fanatic like we are

This rice requires you soak it for 3 hours before cooking, And it takes a rolling boil and not a simmer to cook it. And a final simmer to top it off. Watch your pot size for it may overflow with bubbles. It also requires 4 cups of water for every dry cup of rice so expect it to swell when cooked and produced more rice than you are use to in your usual recipes. If you are flavoring your rice with other ingredients expect all the tricks you are use to fly out the window as you need to invent new ones .

This is a must have to get authentic tastes for South Asian rice based dishes (Polao, Biryiani, Kidchuri). I would have given it 5 stars if the packaging wasn't little flimsy.

Excellent rice, no flavor.

I live where there is no international market nearby and most place label any long grain rice as basmati. Being able to buy a large amount at a decent price is great.\ \ The rice itself doesn't stick together once cooked and is fluffy.\ \ The only issue I have is once you open the bag (which is resealable) it's hard to get a measuring cup into it's because the opening is too small.

I cannot say enough good about this rice! Great packaging and priced to match the product's taste and fluffy quality.

I loved the fact that the bag is completely sealed within itself. And that it's sturdy and easy to use. No mess or spilled rice. The rice is pretty good! I love the extra long grains!

Flavor

This is really a high quality, very delicious rice. The aroma is fantastic. I like to make Persian style "polo" and this is just perfect for that. The grains are so long and they cook very quickly to al dente. Then when steamed Persian style they are so fluffy, not sticky, and taste great.

It was that thick rice not basmati- no smell

I have been using this rice for two years. I ran out and bought some common grocery store Basmati. The taste was not as pleasant, it was sticky and not nearly as long of grains.

The grains are long (as advertised) and taste and smell great.

Makes perfect beryani rice

Not sure if it's a good value but I had been wanting to try Sela type basmati rice for a while. I was going to get the 2 pound bag but the ten pound bag was a much better value. Black Friday sale. Turned out to be a good choice because I love this rice and could eat a ton of it.

nice packaging and good product\ i wanted this because i like the restaurant style rice and this is the same- its good-\ it has to be soaked before cooking but other than that its the same process as any other rice

I have been using this for the past five years and girls and boys this IS the ONE good quality brand\ I love it and use this in most of my recipes and yes I COOK everything I can at home\...the one women who\ still cooks\....lol\ this brand taste good and is not tacky or sticky if you follow directions or use a cook rice pot.\ so easy and tasty you will be satisfied !!\ Thank you for making my life easier with this great product.

Could not ruin a batch of this rice. Not one. The other brand rice I cook the same way is clumpy. Will buy again.
