I bought the product because it was recommended for people with diabetes. It's no different from the Jasmine Rice.
Had I known about this rice 35 years ago I would have invested in it then. But better late than never. There is history of diabetes in my family and the regular consumption of rice stems from my Southeast Asian background. The COVID-19 pandemic served as a reminding catalyst that personal prime health and well-being should be a top priority. I have advocated for clean eating for over 35 years and shuddered to think that I had to give up rice to reach my fitness goals. It was in recent months that I came across this rice, which I'm comfortable consuming and serving to my loved ones. I also love how fluffy it is. It is now part of my personal food pantry. I highly recommend this to those looking for a healthier rice alternative. It may be pricey but for health and wellness I personally believe that it is worth the investment.
Super bueno, de gran calidad
Extra-long and fragrant grains that cook up fluffy and separate. Best of all, this rice is organic, and does not cause a sugar spike like regular (raw) rice.
Love this rice, I would recommend
I gave up rice, potatoes and pasta over 2 years ago. From my time in Hawaii and all of my life, rice was my staple. I was told I could not eat it due to my pre diabetic condition. This rice serves all of my purposes! I eat it as it is, and, I have made Spanish rice with it. An excellent product! It definitely fixes my rice craving!
I like everything about it. I don't check my blood glucose, so not sure about that aspect. Dr. Steven Gundry recommends basmati from India. Could it be resistant starch that makes it so special? I've attached nutrition label for Shahzada Diabetic Friendly, Specially Processed Basmati Rice 10 lbs.
fluffy rice
This rice cooks up very nicely. Never sticky or clumpy and it tastes great too.
Great tasting Basmati rice
Very nutritious
This is a good product, but ridiculous price. The price increase is unsustainable, abusive and ridiculous. I will not purchase this product again until a fair price is set.
Arroz muy delicioso
I expected a floral kind medium size arrangement
Best rice I've ever purchased. Rinse it and it cooks into beautiful individual grains. Not sticky. Rice cooker helps. Of course a rice cooker always does better. If you eat rice frequently stop fooling around and learn to cook rice in your neglected Instapot or get yourself a rice cooker. Low GI rice is just less polished/processed rice. Whole wheat rice has the full brown rice coating. These rice has a trace of the coating, supposedly digests slower.
love it
Rinse it well before cooking, like all rice. The more rinsed the less starch and dust etc. add a touch more water than you normally would to make this a very nice fluffy rbasmati ;)
I first tried this rice at a friends house he served it with food from India, I'm a rice freak Love it, but it did make me feel bloated and full to soon, but this rice didn't so asked him for the name and now this is my rice, since I love Rice so much with this I can eat more of it, I love the texture of the rice also
I'll give this a try, total carbs of 37g deduct 8g of fiber= net carb of 29... hmmmmm I'm ordering!
I love this rice and it doesn't spike my glucose like regular white rice (and being conscious of portion size) I make it in my pressure cooker after a half hour soak, then 1:1 water or broth, 10 minutes on low pressure, ten minutes NR. So happy to have found this because I don't care for brown rice.
perfect rice nice packaging and helping that a1c go down
Very tasty rice
This is the one for me for now on. Aside from the beautiful benefits, it is a wonderful flavor, texture and long grain.
This rice is one of the best rices I've ever tried! I never knew that I am capable of eating plain rice without even a pinch of salt. It's delicious by itself!
This product is a blessing for my diabetic husband. Thanks
