A nice Rice

The Shahzada Premium Super Kernal Basmati Rice is hands down one of the best basmati rices I've ever used! The grains are long, slender, and non-sticky, cooking up perfectly fluffy every time. The aroma is incredible---rich and authentic, just like traditional basmati should be. It pairs beautifully with curries, biryanis, or even plain with butter. The 10 lb bag is great value for such high quality, and you can really taste the difference compared to ordinary rice. If you're looking for premium, aromatic, and delicious basmati, Shahzada is the brand to buy!

Not very flavorful

Ok so this is a second brand of basmati straight from India. YUM. It's part of my kitchari. When my gut says ok I'm not flaring I'll make a chicken biryani with it. Will also use my Mazaeus saffron to make jeweled basmati. It's so light and fluffy. No real aroma I can detect but compared with mom's sticky sweet sushi rice this basmati is DELICIOUS. Great value I'll probably subscribe to this and another Indian basmati. I use my Itaki Go bento cooker and 0.5 oz yellow mung dal + 1 oz basmati cooks perfectly in 30 min. Easy to prep alongside mom's nishiki rice in her little rice cooker. No off colors no hulls. Very clean basmati

Excellent rice. Long grain and authentic. Not like the kind you see in grocery stores that have the aroma but not the light, long grain kind. Second time buying this brand. Follow directions when cooking. Wonderful nutty aroma fills the house. Great for making radio too. A winner!

They are ok because I really don't know how premium should be determined while cooking.\ \ I didn't had much pleasant smell while cooking it ( aromatic way ) but I am ok with this as one time purchase

The best rice!!

This was a very good Basmati rice with excellent quality. Not like the 25 lb of Basmati rice I purchased from Kazana last year, which was both fake and expensive.

I am not a rice expert, but I have been buying and using basmati rice for years. My favorite is the golden basmati, but I haven't been able to find that lately. (Actually just found some after writing this review) This rice seems fine. I don't have any complaints except I don't like the packaging for the ten pound version. It closes and opens nicely, but the opening is too odd to pour the rice out and too small to scoop the rice from the package. I finally had to cut the package so I could pour it into my rice jar.\ \ The basmati rice sold in burlap bags in grocery stores tastes terrible to me\--like burlap. So, I don't buy those. The rice has to be packaged in something other than burlap. Most of the basmati sold online is so much better than the burlap kind that I am usually happy with what I buy here.

I had never purchased expensive rice until this was recommended. It's long, fluffy, and delicious, worth every penny, I'll definitely buy again

My niece cooked this rice for dinner one night and I found it to be much better than the other rices I have used. The taste is mild and very flavorful. We also fixed it with chicken and broth for my dog who had an upset stomach. I will continue to use this rice rather than the other rices.

the rice is good quality and I love it the problem is in the packaging it does not close right after opening and you must have a large enough jar to transfer it into!
